This Laser Range Sensor uses comparatively advanced and more reliable Time of Flight (TOF) technology. This TOF technology has 1mm Range Resolution and broadcast ranging capacity from 1cm to 5 meters. Its sensor has a 10Hz frequency for updating data.

This TOF Laser Range has the feature of an adjustable Field of View (FoV). And it ranges from 15o to 27o. This Sensor maintains and supports CAN and UART communication, multi-sensor cascade ranging & query, and active output data. The hardware also helps in I/O complementary output.

What is Time of Flight (TOF) Technology

Time of Flight technology helps in detecting absolute distance. The technology’s sensor released Near-infrared light. The light comes across the object and then reflects. The sensor then examines the time in which the light reached back and then measures the distance of the object in its field. The TOF also helps the sensor to calculate the depth as well. It has advanced features and has multiple advantages over a 3D structural light plan and binocular plan.
