This sensor pack includes BBC micro:bit and Edge Connector Breakout. In addition, this kit contains 7 sensors to work with the BBC micro:bit for additional functionality. The Edge Connector Breakout offers additional peripherals so there is no need to worry about the limited availability of IO pins. The BBC micro:bit has built-in compass and accelerometer which enable the hardware to detect direction and motion.  The 7 sensors in the kit include a Temp-humidity sensor, flame sensor, UV sensor, moisture sensor, sound sensor, rotation sensor, and infrared-reflective sensor.

BBC micro:bit

BBC micro:bit is a compact open-source development board. You only need to run the code in order to access the desired hardware. BBC micro:bit comes with various smart features to help you work on smart apps dealing with robots and musical instruments, etc. There are 25 LEDs configured in 5x5 array and you can configure these LEDs to flash the message. There are two onboard buttons that are also programmable. You can control or pause games, skip through playlists or songs by using these buttons. BBC micro:bit features compass and accelerometer so by default, it is capable of detecting direction and motion. BBC micro:bit is capable of communicating with other devices with the help of Low Energy Bluetooth connectivity.
