Tinker Edge T Quick Start Guide
ASUS Tinker Edge T has a unique design that allows it to support AI apps. The board features Google Edge TPU and a machine learning accelerator, which is known for higher efficiency levels of higher processing. Additionally, the ML accelerator does not require high power; that’s why it is suitable for building AI apps by integrating various devices.
The ASUS Tinker Edge T Board performs much better than the ordinary SBCs. It has a speed of around four Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS); however, it only consumes around 0.5 watts for each computation unit. ASUS Tinker developers state that the Tinker Edge has been specifically improved for TensorFlow Lite, which allows it to compile and run various ML models.

Active Heatsink
The majority of the Single Board Computers have a unique power design compatible with 5V (3A) and 15Watt. This means that the power gets unstable when they connect multiple devices. However, with the Tinker Edge T, this will not be an issue because it has an improved and much better power design and the DC head. It can deliver 45 Watts. It boosts the board’s stability and ensures better performance even if you connect multiple devices. Moreover, the ASUS Tinker Edge T also features a power-protection system that saves the board from potential damage, especially during significant voltage fluctuations.
