VL53L0X is a Time-of-Flight Long Distance Range Sensor. The hardware supports the I2C interface and the range of the sensor is 2 meters. This ToF sensor has the embedded Second Generation Flight Sense Technology (ST Patented).

Furthermore, VL53l0X is different from conventional sensors in the sense that is a low power consumption hardware and it has the advanced anti-interference capability. The ToF sensor maintains its accuracy at its best by being resistant to any change of color or reflectance.
